Brown Sparrow is named after the original variety name in Vietnamese, Robusta Sẻ, which is an old variety of Robusta planted in Vietnam, dated back to the nineties. It has this specific name as the coffee cherry is small, round compared to other new Robusta variety. Robusta Sẻ tends to produce cherry with smaller quantity & more complex flavor profile.
Brown Sparrow has robust taste like dark chocolate, deep sweet as honey, brown sugar, vanilla, butterbiscuits, dark chocolate, and slightly aroma of ginger, cinnamon, lemon and clove.
